7/8 day Cruise "Exotic Western Caribbean from New Orleans"

CARIBBEAN

We don't have proof, but evidence suggests that the Caribbean was made for cruising. And with more than 5,000 islands and cays, there’s a lot of paradise to see! So how do you choose where to go on your next cruise? See for yourself — best of all, the mild climate means it doesn't even matter what time of year you go. A Carnival cruise takes you to some of the greatest hotspots stretching across the world's designated hotspot.

New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz, is unquestionably one of the most distinctive cities of the New World. Its strategic position, commanding the mouth of the great Mississippi-Missouri river system, which drains the rich interior of North America, made it a pawn in the struggles of Europeans for the control of North America- from its founding by the French, through its period under Spanish control, then briefly back to French rule before being acquired by the United States in the Louisiana Purchase. As a result, the peoples of New Orleans evolved a unique culture and society, while at the same time blending many heritages. While in town, visit old neighbourhoods, museums, cathedrals, the French Market and the commercial centre. In the evenings, hit the jazz bars and enjoy fascinating entertainment.

The island of Cozumel, just off the coast of the Mexican mainland, has over time become one of the world's great ocean playgrounds, an island ranked among the world's premier dive and fishing spots. Cozumel is a place fit for the gods, as a matter of fact, a Mayan myth claims that Cozumel was home to the gods, with its dazzling white-sand beaches, ruined Mayan temples, exotic jungle wildlife and crystalline waters teeming with tropical fish. Explore centuries of human splendor in the Mayan ruins at Tulum, spectacularly sited on the sea cliffs and dive at Palancar Reef, considered one of the most spectacular coral formations in all the Caribbean.

It’s one thing to be fun, but it’s another thing to be first. Carnival Dream was at the forefront of a wave of amazingly fun Carnival ships; as the genesis of the Dream class, it set the direction for the ships that followed — first Carnival Magic and then Carnival Breeze.

But back to Carnival Dream: the ship itself is a unique experience with the way-fun RedFrog Rum Bar and the very cool BlueIguana Tequila Bar. Get your appetite ready, because you’re gonna need it. Carnival Dream features two dual-level dining rooms, a gourmet steakhouse and of course, the everybody-loves-it Lido Restaurant. It also features Ocean Plaza, which combines tasty treats with perhaps even tastier entertainment. Entertainment options are all up and down the ship, as is water-based fun, from the heart-racing waterslide action at WaterWorks to the soul-soothing Thalassotherapy pool at the Cloud 9 Spa.

Despite its name, Carnival Dream is definitely a reality. Can’t believe it? Pinch yourself… and book your dream cruise today.
